HUGO, OKLAHOMA (June 10, 2020) - Endangered Ark Foundation completes a portion of its nature reserve just in time for summer. To celebrate, The Largest Home to Asian Elephants in Southeast Oklahoma will host an Open House on Saturday, June 13, 2020, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for guests to meet and interact with the entire herd up-close and have and a unique 360-degree view like never before. During the event, guests will have the opportunity to tour the facility, meet the herd, and roam the reserve for $10.
Guests may also enjoy additional activities like bathing an elephant, hand-feeding, and having a one-of-a-kind edition shirt ele-sprayed or kissed by an elephant, all at an additional cost. The Ele-Kids Korner will be free for all kids to enjoy with ele-crafts, games, and prizes.
The Open House will also include a variety of concession foods, shaved ice, and drinks, and offer special purchases from the gift shop.
Guests should wear comfortable shoes and arrive early to avoid long waits. Due to COVID-19, all guests will be encouraged to wear a mask and maintain a safe social distance, as well as bring their own eye protection for the ele-sprayed activity.
Advanced tickets are available for pick up at the will-call starting at 10:30 a.m for early admission at 11 a.m. Guests may purchase advanced tickets online no later than noon on Friday, June 19, 2020. Guests that do not reserve a ticket may purchase one at the box office starting at 11:30 a.m. on the day of the event. Door for general admission opens at 12:00 p.m.
